China Seeks Possible Free Trade Agreement with UAE, According to Minister

China has reached out to the United Arab Emirates to discuss a potential free trade agreement, according to UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Al Zeyoudi. This development follows the announcement of negotiations between the EU and the UAE for a similar trade arrangement.

Since 2021, the UAE has embarked on a series of bilateral agreements related to trade, investment, and cooperation, collectively known as Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements. These efforts aim to decrease reliance on fossil fuels and enhance sustainable growth for the future.
