Yesterday, Cognite, a company specializing in industrial artificial intelligence, announced its plans to establish a new entity in Abu Dhabi.
This strategic expansion aims to cater to the rising demand for industrial digitization among major energy and manufacturing firms in the region, while accelerating the widespread adoption of industrial artificial intelligence. By setting up a local hub staffed with experts and offering advanced technological solutions and support services, Cognite intends to reinforce its commitment to its growing client base in the area, especially as the UAE government works to solidify its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence.
The new entity will serve as a central hub for the industrial AI solutions provided by the company, which are already assisting numerous businesses in the region to enhance their digital capabilities and operational efficiency.
Bernard Looney, a board member of international energy investment firm XRGI, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, remarked, “The AI solutions offered by Cognite represent a turning point for the industry.”
Girish Rishi, the CEO of Cognite, stated: “The UAE is leading the world in ambition and application of industrial artificial intelligence.” By establishing this new entity in the UAE, Cognite aims to strengthen access and responsiveness to the needs of its industrial clients, enabling collaboration with local talent to drive innovation forward.
