Collaboration Between “ENOC” and “Emirates” to Ensure Aircraft Fuel Supplies

ENOC Group, a prominent player in the energy sector, has joined forces with Emirates Petroleum (Emarat), a leader in energy and retail sales in the UAE, to sign a memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing a framework for a business continuity plan focused on the supply of aviation fuel.

This strategic partnership seeks to enhance coordination and improve the reliability of aviation fuel supply operations, reflecting a mutual commitment to operational continuity, resilience, and adherence to aviation industry standards. The memorandum sets forth an organized framework for collaboration, including clear procedures to support fuel supply management and immediate coordination for fuel transfer operations through pipelines and truck loading, ensuring efficient and seamless processes within these key aviation channels in the region.

Hussain Sultan Lootah, CEO of ENOC Group, stated, “As a key stakeholder in the UAE energy ecosystem, ENOC understands the critical importance of ensuring uninterrupted fuel supplies for the aviation sector. Our partnership with Emarat reinforces our proactive approach to business continuity planning by leveraging our combined expertise to ensure smooth operations in the UAE’s aviation sector, thereby strengthening the country’s position as a global aviation hub. Through this collaboration, ENOC and Emarat will develop advanced logistical solutions and coordinated emergency response strategies to guarantee the continuous supply of fuel.”

Bahrain Al Hashimi, CEO of Emirates Petroleum, remarked, “Ensuring the continuity of fuel supply for the aviation sector is a national responsibility that we at Emarat take very seriously. This memorandum with ENOC Group creates a practical framework for unifying our efforts and mutual readiness—not only during normal circumstances but also in emergencies. By coordinating our efforts and streamlining our procedures in advance, we enhance our operational resilience and ensure a continuous supply of fuel. This reliability is crucial for travelers, airlines, and the broader economy that depends on the UAE’s leadership in the aviation sector. Operational flexibility is no longer merely precautionary but has become a fundamental pillar contributing to establishing the UAE as a leading global destination, and we take pride in contributing to this standing by collaborating with a trusted national partner.”

The business continuity plan will provide documented procedures to guide the response, recovery, and resumption of operations for both organizations. It will also involve regular testing, exercises, and staff training, as well as equipment and communication testing to maintain the highest levels of operational readiness.
