DB World – Egypt has marked a significant milestone in bulk cargo operations by successfully handling the largest vessel ever to dock at an Egyptian port, a remarkable achievement for the country.
The ship, MV Kiber, measures 289 meters in length and has a capacity of 152,150 metric tons of metal smelting impurities, setting a new record in the container terminal’s operational history.
This shipment is part of a broader commercial agreement that positions the terminal to manage a total cargo load of nearly 300,000 tons, signifying a substantial increase compared to previous shipments.
Mohamed Shihab, CEO of DB World – Egypt, stated, “The record cargo size of this vessel reflects the strategic significance of DB World – Egypt as a leading logistics and commercial hub for both local and international companies.”
