Dubai Airports has unveiled a remarkable art exhibition at Dubai International Airport, featuring works by various talented artists from the studio dedicated to individuals with disabilities. The exhibition showcases 12 creative paintings that celebrate artistic expression and highlights the strong partnership between the two entities, reinforcing their shared mission of promoting community integration and shining a light on inspiring talents.
Located in Terminal 1, the exhibition offers travelers from around the globe a unique opportunity to connect with the artistic realms crafted by these creators and discover the inspiring stories behind each piece. This initiative coincides with the “Year of Community” in the UAE, emphasizing Dubai Airports’ commitment to providing an inclusive and welcoming travel experience for all.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports and Ambassador for Talents, stated: “The displayed artworks challenge stereotypes and break conventional notions, leaving an unforgettable impression on the hearts of the millions of travelers passing through our airport daily. They serve as a powerful reminder that every individual has a unique story worth telling and a voice that deserves to be heard.”
Meanwhile, Wimi DeMakr, founder and director of Talents, expressed: “The exhibition is a living testament to the extraordinary talent and resilience of the artists from Talents. The partnership between Dubai Airports and Talents began in 2017 and has since become a pioneering model for supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities through the arts. Griffiths, who was appointed ambassador of the “Talents” initiative earlier this year, praised the artists for their “authentic expression” and “bold use of color.”
The exhibition features a diverse artistic mix, ranging from abstract and figurative art to surrealism and pop art, with each work reflecting a unique vision that resonates with the essence of creativity and artistic expression.
