Dubai Holding Asset Management Unveils New Identity: Dubai Retail

Dubai Holding Asset Management has unveiled a new identity under the name “Dubai Retail,” which encompasses over 40 prominent destinations for shopping and entertainment. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the company’s future growth and development strategy, following the merger of Nakheel and Meraas under Dubai Holding last year. The consolidation aims to enhance operational efficiency while expanding their presence and long-term competitive capabilities.

This announcement underscores the central role of Dubai Retail in the retail sector of Dubai, featuring a comprehensive collection that includes 10 shopping malls, 15 entertainment venues, and 18 retail centers spread throughout the city. Together, these locations house more than 6,500 retail outlets across over 13 million square feet of lease space. By offering a varied selection of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, Dubai Retail reinforces the city’s status as a leading destination for commerce and tourism.

Transforming the Retail Sector

Malek Al Malek, CEO of Dubai Holding Asset Management, emphasized how Dubai Retail destinations contribute to the enhancement of the emirate’s retail sector by enriching customer experiences and broadening available choices.

He remarked, “Dubai Retail benefits from the integrated ecosystem of Dubai Holding in real estate development and asset management. This integration provides a high competitive edge to seize opportunities driven by rising population growth, thriving tourism, and urban development.” Al Malek further highlighted the recent opening of Nad Al Sheba Mall and the development of Al Khail Avenue, which, when completed, will add over 1.2 million square feet to the total lease space, reflecting our commitment to delivering distinguished destinations that bolster Dubai’s retail economy by merging shopping, dining, and entertainment in vibrant centers.

Dubai as a Global Destination

Fried Abdurrahman, General Manager of Shopping Destinations at Dubai Holding Asset Management, stated, “Being one of the largest groups of shopping and entertainment venues in the region is only the beginning. This move enhances Dubai Retail’s ability for strategic growth and continuous development of its destinations, aligned with the expectations of residents and visitors.
