Dubai’s Financial Oversight Authority Continues to Strengthen the Government Auditing Framework

The Dubai Financial Audit Authority has announced the commencement of the fourth cohort of its “Professional Diploma – Government Auditor” program. This initiative is one of the key professional training programs focused on governmental auditing and is being carried out in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government. It aims to enhance national competencies and strengthen the governance and transparency frameworks within the entities monitored by the authority.

This program serves as an advanced platform for developing the skills of national employees, equipping them with the knowledge and practical tools necessary to elevate auditing practices in line with Dubai’s vision of establishing the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

The fourth cohort will undergo a comprehensive training schedule that combines specialized academic lectures with practical applications within real work environments of the entities overseen by the authority. Participants will also receive guidance and support to obtain international professional certifications in auditing, enhancing their skills and preparing them to efficiently undertake their responsibilities.

On this occasion, Abdul Rahman Al Harib, Director General of the Dubai Financial Audit Authority, stated: “The launch of the fourth cohort of the program falls within the institutional framework led by the Financial Audit Authority to develop the governmental auditing system, which is a fundamental pillar in promoting good governance, enhancing financial discipline, and ensuring the efficient management of public resources in the Dubai government. The program reflects the authority’s commitment to implementing a proactive legislative and regulatory approach that focuses on building the professional capacities of national competencies based on clear standards and approved methodologies, ensuring the unification of auditing practices, raising the level of compliance, and enhancing the reliability of financial reports within the entities under the authority’s supervision.”

He added: “Through this initiative, the Financial Audit Authority underscores its dedication to aligning its training programs with established legislative frameworks and government policies, thereby supporting institutional performance sustainability, and meeting the aspirations of the Dubai government in establishing an advanced model of auditing based on efficiency, transparency, and accountability.”

Dr. Ali bin Sabaa Al Mari, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, remarked: “The launch of the fourth cohort of the ‘Professional Diploma – Government Auditor’ program in collaboration with the Dubai Financial Audit Authority represents a strategic step in enhancing specialized governmental capabilities.
