Dubai South Opens Distribution Center for “Hellmann Caliber” in the Logistics Area

Dubai South, the largest urban development project focusing on aviation, logistics, and real estate, has inaugurated a new distribution center for Hellmann Caliber Healthcare Logistics within its logistics zone. This development mirrors the increasing demand for specialized healthcare logistics solutions and strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading regional hub for supply chains in this vital sector.

With this new addition, Hellmann Caliber now operates five distribution centers in the UAE, reinforcing its status as a prominent provider of comprehensive healthcare logistics services in the region. This expansion aligns with the growing need for flexible and reliable supply chains, particularly as regulatory requirements evolve and the demand for precise management of temperature-sensitive medical products rises.

From its logistics zone in Dubai South, the new center will enhance the company’s storage capacity and broaden the range of value-added logistics services and tailored client solutions. It has been designed to meet market demands, including the management of health products requiring swift handling and delivery, temperature-sensitive items maintaining the highest compliance standards, safe handling of hazardous materials, and comprehensive digital transparency, alongside efficient distribution processes up to the final delivery stage.

The logistics zone continues to establish itself as a pivotal platform for global supply chains, leveraging its integrated infrastructure, strategic location, and multimodal connectivity to enable international companies to enhance their regional operations and ensure the efficient and reliable delivery of essential products.”

Lee Ainsworth, Regional CEO for India, the Middle East, and Africa at Hellmann Caliber Healthcare Logistics, remarked, “The opening of our fifth healthcare logistics facility in the UAE marks a significant step in enhancing our operational capabilities, improving responsiveness and flexibility, and ensuring regulatory compliance for our clients. This expansion underscores our ongoing commitment to the UAE market and its strategic role as a regional and global center for healthcare and logistics. It also boosts our ability to support global healthcare supply chains more effectively.”

The new center has been developed according to the highest national and international safety and environmental sustainability standards, featuring a designated area for the storage of hazardous materials, complemented by solar energy technologies that align with the company’s sustainability goals. Moreover, the facility depends on advanced infrastructure and quality management systems adhering to global Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, along with strict security protocols to ensure product safety and the integrity of the supply chain from source to customer.

The logistics zone in Dubai South exemplifies logistical innovation within a sophisticated infrastructure, offering unique services and operations, and providing direct links to Jebel Ali Port through a dedicated logistics corridor. The logistics zone comprises multiple areas with direct access to shipping terminals at Al Maktoum International Airport, EZDubai—a fully dedicated e-commerce zone—as well as a contract logistics area.
