Dubai to Host the 3rd Edition of the International Glass Exhibition 2026 This Coming April

Dubai will host the third edition of the International Glass Industry Exhibition from April 13 to 15, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring participation from over 150 international companies. The event is expected to attract around 17,000 visitors, including professionals, buyers, and decision-makers from around the globe.

This exhibition stands out as the most significant event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on all aspects of the glass industry, from raw materials, particularly silica sand, to high-tech finished products. It also highlights processing, cutting, and finishing technologies, demonstrating the steady growth in this vital sector, which coincides with the ongoing construction boom and major real estate projects in the region.

The exhibition is particularly relevant given the governments’ emphasis on green buildings and environmental standards, driving the demand for energy-efficient and acoustically insulated glass.

Dubai is recognized as a key regional hub for the glass industry, benefiting from readily available raw materials in the Arab world, advanced logistical infrastructure, and its strategic location for exporting high-purity industrial sand.

The silica sand market in the UAE is witnessing an annual growth rate exceeding 5%, driven by demand from construction, packaging glass, and architectural glass sectors.

By 2025, it is estimated that the packaging glass market will exceed 336 kilotons, while the architectural glass facade market is anticipated to reach $1.8 billion by 2027.

The event’s agenda includes a specialized conference addressing the industry’s future amid digital transformation, along with high-level discussions, awards for innovative achievements, and one-on-one networking opportunities between manufacturers and potential buyers to enhance partnerships and expand into emerging markets in Africa and Asia.

A key feature of the exhibition is the regional national program, part of an industrial integration agreement among the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, and Bahrain, offering special benefits for participating countries to promote their glass industries both regionally and internationally. Data from 2023 indicates that the flat glass market in the Middle East and Africa was approximately $8.5 billion, with projections suggesting it could reach $15 billion by 2031. Additionally, the silica sand market in the GCC countries is expected to grow from $426 million in 2024 to $776.5 million by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 6.55%.

The exhibition serves as a crucial platform, uniting manufacturers, suppliers, developers, engineers, architects, investors, as well as government entities and major project operators, further establishing Dubai as a global center for the glass industry and related technologies.
