The objective is to enhance the resilience and international reputation of the manufacturing sector in the UAE.
e& enterprise, the digital transformation branch of e&, has partnered with Exeed Industries, a prominent industrial group in the UAE and a subsidiary of National Holding, by signing a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration signifies a multi-year initiative aimed at advancing digital transformation within Exeed Industries’ manufacturing facilities based in the UAE.
The two organizations will collaborate to create a detailed Industry 4.0 roadmap—a structured approach designed to help manufacturers integrate smart, connected technologies, enhancing productivity and competitiveness—driven by artificial intelligence and sustainability initiatives. The ultimate aim is to fortify the resilience and elevate the global status of UAE manufacturing.
e& enterprise will spearhead the crafting of a technological framework for Exeed Industries’ Industry 4.0 strategy, working in close collaboration with each manufacturing unit within the group. This roadmap will be instrumental in permitting Exeed Industries to tap into funding avenues from the Abu Dhabi Investment Office via the Smart Manufacturing Accelerator Programme (SMAP), facilitating the large-scale implementation of transformative projects.
The scope of this initiative encompasses conducting maturity evaluations across five Exeed facilities, formulating customized smart manufacturing roadmaps, and implementing Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies, enhanced with AI and GenAI capabilities, digital twins (which reflect the real-time operational status and condition of physical assets through IIoT data), predictive maintenance, and automation. It will also include the use of AI for tasks such as demand prediction, quality assurance, and energy management, alongside the integration of ESG-focused platforms to monitor and minimize carbon footprints.
“This collaboration exemplifies the model we aspire to establish with progressive manufacturers. By merging Exeed’s industrial expertise with our profound capabilities in digital transformation, we will jointly create scalable solutions that resonate with the UAE’s aspirations in innovation, sustainability, and economic diversification.”
-Majd Coussa, Acting Chief Revenue Officer, e& enterprise.
“Exeed Industries is dedicated to enhancing our manufacturing strengths to fulfill the requirements of a forward-thinking industrial landscape. This MoU with e& enterprise empowers us to re-envision our processes through digital innovation, directly contributing to national objectives under the Make it in the Emirates initiative.”
–Mohammed AlAmeer, Group CEO, Exeed Industries.
In alignment with this partnership, e& enterprise will present its extensive climate commitments. Following the establishment of ambitious environmental objectives for 2030, e& initiated its Climate Transition Plan, termed “Ambition to Action,” which outlines a clear trajectory toward Net Zero. Being among the first in the region to introduce such a detailed framework, e& focuses on decarbonizing its operations while assisting partners like Exeed in integrating sustainable practices throughout their value chains.
Sustainability forms a core aspect of e&’s transformation agenda, reflecting national and global priorities such as the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative, We The UAE 2031 Vision, and the Sustainable Development Goals. The collaboration with Exeed is expected to bolster ESG-focused manufacturing, aiming to develop resilient, resource-efficient industrial models that are prepared for the future and aligned with climate initiatives.
This partnership aligns with the UAE’s broader vision to establish itself as a global leader in advanced manufacturing, adhering to its Industry 4.0 strategy and net zero targets. Additionally, it will serve as a model for other manufacturers in the UAE and the greater region, showcasing how digital transformation can significantly improve industrial efficiency, energy conservation, and overall competitiveness.
