The “Make it in the Emirates” platform, a key initiative aimed at fostering industrial growth and economic transformation in the UAE, has announced that Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) will be the strategic partner for advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and Industry 4.0 at the 2026 event. This year’s edition is scheduled to take place from May 4 to 7, 2026, at the ADNEC in Abu Dhabi.
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is hosting the fifth edition of “Make it in the Emirates,” which is organized by ADNEC Group, part of the ADCB group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and ADNOC. The event aims to connect local manufacturers and promising startups with global investors, policymakers, and buyers, playing a significant role in boosting the industrial ecosystem in the UAE.
As the largest industrial entity in the UAE outside the oil and gas sector, the involvement of Emirates Global Aluminium in the 2026 edition of “Make it in the Emirates” highlights its essential role in spearheading the nation’s industrial development.
EGA has a rich legacy in leading the country’s industrial growth for over five decades; starting with a single smelter in 1979 that had an annual production capacity of 135,000 tons, it has evolved into the world’s largest producer of high-quality aluminium, with an annual output exceeding 2.75 million tons.
EGA’s participation in the fifth edition of “Make it in the Emirates” underscores its strategic commitment to accelerating the localization of vital industries, enhancing local supply chains, and identifying new suppliers within the country. In 2025, the company invested over 9 billion AED in local goods and services, which accounted for 42% of its total global spending, reflecting its vision for sustainable industrial growth.
