Emirates launches flights to Shenzhen, Vietnam and Cambodia

Dubai-based Emirates is set to strengthen its presence in Asia by launching new flights connecting Dubai with cities in China, Vietnam and Cambodia, the carrier said on Monday, reported by Khaleej Times. It will launch a daily direct flight to the Chinese city of Shenzhen from July 1.

The airline, the UAE’s flagship carrier, is opening new doors for business and economic exchange between the UAE’s technological powerhouse and global markets by launching flights to Shenzhen, the airline said in a statement. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ vice president and chief commercial officer, said this. In Vietnam, the airline will introduce four weekly flights to Da Nang on June 2, while three weekly flights will operate to Siem Reap in Cambodia from June 3, both cities connecting via Bangkok.

Emirates flights to Shenzhen

Emirates’ entry into Shenzhen makes it the first Middle Eastern carrier to operate daily flights to the technology and innovation hub of mainland China. The Shenzhen flight schedule has been designed to optimise connections to and from key destinations in Africa and the Middle East/GCC, including Kenya, Egypt, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. It also serves popular European business and financial hubs in the UK, Italy and Spain, and the airline’s key gateways in the US and South America.

EK328 will depart Dubai at 10:05 and arrive in Shenzhen at 23:00. The return flight, EK329, will depart Shenzhen at 23:55 and land in Dubai at 3:40 the following day. Emirates SkyCargo is also expected to carry 10 tonnes of cargo per flight between Shenzhen and Dubai and support exports such as high-tech devices and e-commerce goods.
