Solitair, the UAE-based air freight company that focuses on business and airport-to-airport shipping services, has announced that it has achieved ACC3 certification, allowing it to operate secure air cargo and mail services to European Union countries. This certification was granted by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authority and took effect on March 19, marking a significant milestone in Solitair’s international growth strategy and accelerating its planned expansion into Europe.
Prior to obtaining the ACC3 certification, Solitair secured a Third Country Operator (TCO) license from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), bolstering its compliance with the stringent regulatory framework governing the aviation sector in Europe.
The ACC3 designation is a mandatory regulatory requirement for airlines transporting goods to the EU from third countries. This classification confirms that the airline’s operations, cargo handling procedures, and supply chain security protocols meet the European Union’s high aviation security standards.
Hamdi Osman, founder and CEO of Solitair, stated: “This achievement represents another significant milestone in Solitair’s growth journey since we began operations 16 months ago. Receiving the ACC3 certification demonstrates the trust placed in us by one of the most regulated aviation markets in the world and affirms the strength of our operational and security standards. It also paves the way for the next phase of our expansion beyond the Global South, where we currently serve 51 destinations across the GCC, Africa, the Indian subcontinent, and China.”
The ACC3 certification enables Solitair to transport goods between Al Maktoum International Airport (Dubai World Central – DWC) and destinations within the EU, covering a six-hour operational range with its growing fleet of Boeing 737-800 BCF aircraft.
7 Aircraft
Currently, Solitair operates a fleet of 7 Boeing 737-800 BCF cargo aircraft and plans to expand this fleet to 20 by the end of 2027. Notably, Solitair has quickly connected over 52 cities, surpassing its initial goal of linking 50 cities by the end of 2027.
From its logistics center, which spans 220,000 square feet at Al Maktoum International Airport, the company’s growing fleet and expanded international operations will enhance its network and increase capacity on high-demand trade routes connecting the Global South to Europe.
