The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has signed an agreement with the real estate development firm, Meraas, a subsidiary of Dubai Holding. This partnership is aimed at providing over 17,500 tons of cooling capacity for the third phase of City Walk and the Verve building, addressing the increasing development demands in the area.
This project adds to Empower’s extensive portfolio, which includes around 1,750 buildings across Dubai.
Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, stated: “Through these agreements, Empower is enhancing its portfolio with new projects, reinforcing our position as a trusted partner in district cooling services in Dubai. These initiatives also contribute to the diversification of the sectors we serve and expand our efforts in reducing carbon emissions, aligning with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.”
