Enduring Compassion”: UAE’s Ongoing Humanitarian Support for Gaza Highlighted in Worldwide Documentary

Abu Dhabi, UAE – The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council has unveiled a documentary that showcases the humanitarian actions and initiatives being implemented by the United Arab Emirates to assist the residents of Gaza amid the ongoing crisis.
This film features real stories from individuals who exemplify the thousands who have benefited from the UAE’s aid, highlighting the country’s long-standing humanitarian mission to support the Palestinian people.
Named “Hope Remains,” the documentary premiered on the global Discovery Channel, symbolizing worldwide recognition of the UAE’s persistent efforts to support the Gaza population.
As of November, the UAE’s contributions represented 42% of all humanitarian assistance provided to the region since October 2023, totaling USD 828 million.
The film embodies the UAE’s core values of generosity and solidarity, featuring personal accounts from those who have received support as well as interviews with relief workers engaged in these efforts.
Through unique visuals, it effectively demonstrates the significant impact on the health and mental well-being of many beneficiaries.
People share their harrowing experiences during the conflict and their initial hopelessness, followed by a resurgence of hope, all presented in a narrative that weaves personal stories with broader themes.
The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council plans to launch “Hope Remains” in both international and national versions, in Arabic and English, across its social media channels and national TV throughout June.
This film is part of the Council’s ongoing initiative to promote the humanitarian efforts of various UAE organizations actively engaged in humanitarian work. It highlights the crucial role of these groups in conveying the nation’s humanitarian ethos, which is rooted in brotherhood and solidarity.

Last year, the Council also introduced “On the Frontline,” a series of short documentaries showcasing individuals and volunteers involved in relief and humanitarian endeavors by Emirati organizations in the UAE, Egypt, and Gaza. These films illustrated their contributions to aiding the Palestinian community and helping to fulfill their objectives, airing on national television and digital platforms.
The stories shared in the documentary series emphasize the UAE’s united social fabric, built on the promotion of kindness, solidarity, and compassion during challenging times.
Under the guidance of its esteemed leaders, the UAE remains committed to delivering assistance and humanitarian support to the people of Gaza, particularly focused on relieving the distress of vulnerable populations, especially children, who make up nearly half of the Strip’s residents. Relevant humanitarian teams from the UAE are diligently working towards this mission, in alignment with the nation’s supportive stance for its brothers during crises.
