The annual summit “Supercharged” by G42 concluded in Abu Dhabi, attracting over 2,400 employees, partners, and global leaders for a day focused on meaningful dialogue and collaboration aimed at pushing the boundaries of innovation. High-profile Emirati leaders played a significant role at the event, with contributions from His Excellency Mansour Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Health Authority, Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity at the UAE government, and Eng. Salem Baty Salem Al Qabisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency, who shared valuable insights regarding the UAE’s commitment to global leadership in health, space, cybersecurity, and responsible artificial intelligence.
The summit, themed “Building the Intelligence Network: The Present and Future of AI-Powered Civilizations,” featured participation from figures such as Ahmed Al Shamsi, CEO of the UAE Foundation, and Ibrahim Al Jalah, Executive Director for Digital Health at the Abu Dhabi Health Authority, in dedicated sessions.
G42 showcased its transformation into a global AI architect through discussions with prominent figures, including Brad Smith, Chairman of Microsoft, and Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, who joined virtually, highlighting a growing strategic alignment.
The focus of the event was G42’s vision for an “Intelligence Network,” a distributed network of AI models and data centers, and computing infrastructures that are emerging through initiatives like the UAE Stargate and the AI hub between the UAE and the United States with a capacity of 5 gigawatts. Innovations were presented by Analog, specializing in artificial intelligence, along with an immersive interactive experience of G42’s new intelligence network.
In his opening remarks, His Excellency Mansour Al Mansoori emphasized that enjoying a long and healthy life is a human right, explaining how Abu Dhabi is building one of the smartest healthcare systems globally by integrating artificial intelligence, genomic science, and comprehensive population data to predict risks, prevent them, and tailor care before symptoms arise. He highlighted initiatives like lowering the age for early cancer screenings and redesigning neighborhoods to promote wellness, stressing that enhancing the “health span” requires thoughtful planning rather than mere chance.
Mohammed Al Kuwaiti underlined the UAE’s recent achievements in this field and its growing leadership role in building digital trust and enhancing electronic resilience.
Eng. Salem Al Qabisi participated in the session “Intelligence from Space: New Frontiers on Earth,” where he explained how space data contributes to advancements in vital sectors.
Key discussions covered topics such as “Indigenous AI: Achieving Smarter Lives” and “AI and Energy: The Future of Clean Energy.”
Bing Xiao, CEO of G42, in his keynote address, urged global partners and employees to embrace artificial intelligence as the most significant opportunity and responsibility in human history. He encouraged viewing AI not just as a technological tool but as an alternative form of intelligence that can elevate human civilization, noting that the convergence of infrastructure, computational capabilities, and talent is vital for unleashing the full societal impact of this technology.
He pointed out that the future of G42 centers around the UAE Stargate project and the recently announced joint AI hub between the UAE and the United States with a capacity of 5 gigawatts.
