Iranian Vice President visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Iranian Vice President Shina Ansari, along with Reza Ameri, Iran’s ambassador to the UAE, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Ansari was accompanied on the tour by Yousef Al-Obaidli, director general of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center, reported by Arab News.

Sheikh Zayed’s Legacy

The delegation was briefed on the mosque’s history, architecture, distinctive Islamic art and collection of Islamic civilization artifacts. They also learned about the significant role of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in promoting Islamic culture, intercultural dialogue and the values ​​of coexistence and tolerance inspired by Sheikh Zayed’s legacy.

At the end of her visit, Ansari was presented with a piece of art featuring a verse from the Quran in Kufic script, one of the styles of Islamic art used to decorate the mosque’s domes, along with a copy of “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace,” the center’s latest publication.
