Launch of Limited Edition Coins in Celebration of the “Proudly Emirati” Campaign at Dubai Gold Souk

The “Emirates Mint” has launched a limited edition collection of commemorative coins made of gold and silver in collaboration with the “Dubai Gold Souk,” celebrating the “Proud of the UAE” campaign. This exclusive collection is only available at the Dubai Gold Souk, offering a unique opportunity to acquire a piece that commemorates a significant moment in the nation’s journey. The proceeds from the sales of these commemorative coins will be dedicated to “Furjan Dubai,” a social organization in the UAE aimed at enhancing community life and improving social well-being in Dubai neighborhoods.

Ibrahim Al-Falasi, Chairman of the “Emirates Mint,” commented on the event, stating that these special coins were designed as a symbol of gratitude and solidarity, reflecting the unwavering support, unity, and leadership demonstrated by the UAE during challenging times. He added that the collection includes both a gold and a silver coin, combining investment value with national significance. The gold coin is made of 24-karat gold, weighing one ounce with a diameter of approximately 3.2 cm, while the silver coin also weighs one ounce and has a diameter of around 4 cm. Following the announcement of this new release, there has been early interest from the public, evidenced by preliminary requests and reservations.

Aliya Al-Shamlan, Managing Director of “Furjan Dubai,” emphasized that this quality national initiative embodies values of collaboration and giving, reflecting the community responsibility that characterizes national institutions in the UAE. She pointed out that this move contributes to the support of meaningful community initiatives and highlights the importance of coordinated efforts among various entities to serve society. Additionally, Al-Shamlan noted that the initiatives from the “Emirates Mint” and the “Dubai Gold Souk” reaffirm the significance of these efforts while also supporting innovative projects and ideas that contribute to creating a supportive environment for residential communities in Dubai. Rashed Al-Hamoudi, Senior Commercial Manager at “Dubai Investments,” stated that this initiative represents a gesture of appreciation for the unity and strength demonstrated by the UAE during its most crucial moments. Regarding the gold and silver coins, he clarified that they are officially certified releases that will only be available for a limited period before production ceases altogether, giving them potential future collectible value and making them rare pieces associated with a significant historical phase. He indicated that the quantities would be available to anyone wishing to acquire them throughout the campaign duration, ensuring everyone has a fair opportunity to purchase, although the release will end once the announced period concludes. The limited edition gold and silver coin collection is currently available online through the “Emirates Mint” website, as well as at the factory store in the “Dubai Gold Souk.”
