Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), along with the Abu Dhabi Global Academy, the Technology Innovation Institute, Hub71, and Aspire, has announced the launch of the first experimental secure quantum communication laboratory in the UAE. This initiative aims to enhance the security of future digital infrastructures.
The Technology Innovation Institute, which is the applied research arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), has deployed its quantum key distribution technology at ADGM, the international financial center of Abu Dhabi. This move establishes the first testing network of its kind in a business environment, specifically designed to provide a vital laboratory for secure, unbreachable communication experiences in response to increasing cybersecurity threats and the global demand for digital privacy protection. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to directly interact with integrated quantum key distribution devices, test operational scenarios in a real business environment, and comprehend the future possibilities and applications of this technology. This initiative is facilitated by Aspire, the innovation acceleration arm of ATRC, which aims to connect advanced research with real-world applications and foster collaboration across various sectors.
