Multiple airlines have announced the cancellation and rerouting of several flights due to the current geopolitical situation in the region.
A spokesperson for Flydubai stated that, as a result of the temporary closure of airspace over Iran and Israel on the early morning of June 13, some Flydubai flights were affected. Flights to Amman, Beirut, Damascus, Iran, and Israel have been suspended, with several others being canceled or redirected back to their original destinations.
The spokesperson added that they are closely monitoring the circumstances in the region and making necessary adjustments to their flight schedule accordingly, emphasizing that the safety of passengers and crew is the company’s top priority. Etihad Airways also announced the cancellation of several flights to and from Tel Aviv on June 13.
The airline mentioned that their teams are assisting guests with their travel arrangements.
Furthermore, the company stated that they continue to monitor the situation in the area and maintain close communication with relevant authorities regarding developments, reaffirming that the safety of guests and aircrews is paramount.
