Op Sindoor’s International Initiative Launches: Initial Bipartisan Delegation Departing for UAE Tomorrow

India will initiate its diplomatic efforts following Operation Sindoor on Wednesday, with the first of seven bipartisan delegations setting off for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This delegation, spearheaded by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde, will also make stops in Congo, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.

Over the course of four days, concluding on May 25, the remaining six delegations will travel to various nations to engage with audiences, policymakers, and elected officials.

Each group will be led by a leader from a political party and will comprise Members of Parliament from different parties, notable political figures, and respected diplomats.

The delegations aim to represent India’s unified stance against terrorism in all its forms, delivering a powerful message of zero tolerance to the international community.

On May 25, two delegations will depart: one will be led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor to the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Guyana, and Panama; the other will be headed by BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad to France, Italy, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Germany.

On May 22, Sanjay Kumar Jha from the JD(U) will lead a delegation to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Simultaneously, another group led by Kanimozhi Karunanidhi of the DMK will head to Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain.

On May 23, Baijayant Panda from the BJP will depart for Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria, while NCP leader Supriya Sule will lead her team to Qatar, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Egypt on May 24.

These diplomatic missions are a response to Operation Sindoor, which commenced on May 7 as retaliation for the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The operation successfully targeted and obliterated nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Additionally, the delegations plan to visit several significant partner nations, including those that are members of the UN Security Council.
