The Ras Al Khaimah government has appointed Philippa Harrison as the new Chief Executive of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. She will spearhead the emirate’s ambitious vision to establish itself as a “destination of the future,” drawing on her extensive experience in the tourism sector, particularly in Australia and various global markets. Previously, she served as the General Manager of Tourism Australia.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, emphasized that tourism is a fundamental pillar of Ras Al Khaimah’s strategy and is the fastest-growing sector in the emirate. Significant achievements have been noted in this area over a short period.
He stated, “Harrison’s leadership skills and practical experience, especially from her tenure with Tourism Australia, give us full confidence in her ability to contribute to the ambitious and strategic tourism goals of the emirate.” Ras Al Khaimah recorded a remarkable influx of 650,000 visitors in the first half of 2025.
