Qualcomm and e& Collaborate to Enhance 5G and AI Technologies in the UAE

Qualcomm Technologies has joined forces with e& to enhance 5G and edge AI technologies, specifically targeting the enterprise, industrial, and government sectors in the UAE. This partnership aims to accelerate digital transformation by incorporating state-of-the-art connectivity solutions.

Central to this collaboration is the development of 5G edge AI gateways tailored for industrial and enterprise use, enabling effective data processing near the source. Additionally, the alliance will focus on producing edge AI devices, such as PCs and augmented reality gadgets powered by Snapdragon platforms, which are designed for on-device AI capabilities. These innovations are expected to boost operational efficiency across various industries through immediate and secure AI processing.

Additionally, Qualcomm plans to leverage its newly opened Abu Dhabi Engineering Center to research, test, and deploy these technologies in essential sectors like energy, logistics, and transportation. This local research and development effort will facilitate the successful adoption of AI solutions in critical industries.
