The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry held discussions with the Portuguese Business Council to explore ways to enhance collaboration between the private sectors of both nations. The objective is to strengthen the council’s role in supporting the Portuguese business community within the emirate, enabling it to effectively attract trade delegations and organize economic conferences and meetings. The efforts aim to foster a conducive business environment, contributing to the commercialization and investment growth between the two friendly countries.
This meeting took place at “Bayt Al Loul” and was organized by the Sharjah Chamber in cooperation with the council, coinciding with Portugal’s National Day. Notable attendees included Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber, Walid Boukhater, Second Vice Chairman of the Chamber, Abdulaziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Communication and Business Sector, Dr. Fatima Khalifa Al Muqrab, Director of International Relations, Heba Al Marzouqi, Head of Business Councils and Joint Committees, and Lourdes Eusebio, Chair of the Portuguese Business Council in Sharjah, along with several council members.
An illustrative film highlighted the council’s notable achievements and showcased successful collaborative efforts between the Sharjah Chamber and the council. It also presented key initiatives and joint programs that have contributed to improving the business climate and attracting Portuguese investments to the emirate. The two parties discussed strategies for enhancing the council’s efficiency through developmental planning.
