Sharjah Entrepreneur Support Foundation Reports Significant Success for Member Projects
The Sharjah Entrepreneur Support Foundation, known as “Ro’wad,” has announced remarkable achievements by its member projects, securing contracts with government entities within the country. The total value of these contracts reached 3,484,680 dirhams in 2024, reflecting a notable growth of 23.9% compared to the previous year.
Fatima Al Ali, the acting director of the Sharjah Entrepreneur Support Foundation, highlighted that the total procurement value from government entities for member projects increased by 673,039 dirhams compared to 2023, when it amounted to 2,811,641 dirhams, marking a growth rate of 23.9%. She noted that the last year witnessed 46 projects winning a total of 318 contracts with 42 government entities across various sectors, including hospitality and office services.
Al Ali expressed gratitude to the supportive government entities, with the Sharjah Police Academy leading in contract value, followed by the Khor Fakkan Municipality, the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, and the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority. In terms of the number of contracts awarded to “Ro’wad” projects, the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, the Department of Economic Development, and the Sharjah Museums Authority were the frontrunners. By the end of 2024, the total number of member projects under “Ro’wad” registered in the supplier registry of the Sharjah Central Finance Department rose to 129.
