His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Faris Al Mazrouei, the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, conducted an on-site visit to the Fujairah Oil Industrial Area, known as “FOWZ,” to review the response measures related to a recent fire incident at one of the facilities in the area. His aim was to monitor the efforts of emergency teams and relevant authorities in managing the situation, ensuring the safety of vital installations and the continuity of operations.
During the visit, he was briefed on the rapid response mechanisms implemented to control the fire and the operational plans established for emergency management in oil facilities. He also assessed the coordination level among relevant entities and emergency teams in the region to ensure immediate action during such incidents, adhering to the highest global safety standards.
He was informed about the industrial safety system, including preventative measures and risk management strategies adopted in the region, highlighting the role of emergency teams and specialized authorities in enhancing readiness and responsiveness to incidents, thus safeguarding employees and facilities while ensuring operational continuity.
Minister Al Mazrouei affirmed that energy supplies in the UAE are stable and operating smoothly. He noted that the energy system and national supply chains function efficiently, maintaining a high level of preparedness and flexibility, which ensures that local markets receive their needs without disruption.
He elaborated that authorities are continuously monitoring the situation under a comprehensive national emergency management and business continuity system, ensuring market stability and the sustainability of essential services under various conditions.
