The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), the applied research arm of the Advanced Technology Research Council in Abu Dhabi, has established a strategic agreement with Quantinuum, a global leader in quantum computing. This collaboration aims to expedite the development and testing of advanced quantum computing algorithms, facilitating broader applications in future technologies.
Key research areas in this partnership will focus on chemistry and materials science, integrating classical data with quantum systems, and tackling complex problems through mathematical optimization.
This collaboration represents a significant milestone in training the next generation of quantum computing algorithm developers, enabling the UAE and the wider region to effectively harness and adapt emerging quantum technologies to meet developmental and technological advancement needs.
Dr. Leandro Olita, a senior researcher at the Quantum Research Center at TII, stated, “Our cooperation agreement with Quantinuum marks a qualitative leap towards realizing our vision of advancing quantum research.
