UAE Conducted Attacks on Port Sudan from Red Sea Base on May 4

Sudan’s representative at the United Nations has accused the United Arab Emirates of conducting aerial assaults on Port Sudan on May 4. According to him, the strikes involved warplanes and drones launched from a UAE military base located on the Red Sea.

Ambassador al-Harith Idris claimed that this supposed attack by the UAE followed a day after the Sudanese armed forces executed an airstrike in the city of Nyala, which aimed at an Emirati aircraft and resulted in the deaths of 13 foreign nationals, some of whom were reportedly connected to the UAE.

In response to these accusations, a UAE official stated on Tuesday that the claims made by Sudan regarding Abu Dhabi’s involvement in the Port Sudan attack are baseless. The official also expressed that the UAE denounces the bombing incident in Port Sudan.
