UAE Launches 5G Slicing Service in the Region

According to the telecommunications leader, this initiative provides dependable and tailored 5G connectivity, enabled by its sophisticated standalone 5G infrastructure.

Furthermore, the implementation of 5G slicing will enhance the 5G network by partitioning it into distinct virtual segments (slices), each allocated specific resources. This allows industries such as manufacturing, public safety, and ports to access the necessary connectivity and performance vital for crucial operations.

These tailored slices cater to particular requirements, such as minimizing latency or offering robust support for the Internet of Things (IoT) within smart infrastructures, as stated by the company.

The senior vice president of business marketing and product innovation at e& UAE, Oscar Garcia, commented: “By launching 5G network slicing, e& UAE is fulfilling its promise to develop innovative connectivity solutions that facilitate digital transformation across various sectors.

“With the introduction of 5G network slicing, organizations can take advantage of end-to-end reserved capacity to ensure optimal performance for essential operations. This solution is poised to enable industry-specific applications with the dependability and adaptability required for critical tasks.”
