The Union Coop has confirmed its full preparedness through a substantial strategic inventory and flexible supply chains, ensuring market stability and uninterrupted availability of goods, reflecting the strength of the commercial system in the country.
Mohammed Al Hashimi, the Chief Executive Officer of Union Coop, stated in an interview: “The inventory at Union Coop is sufficient for up to four months, covering both essential and non-essential items. Additionally, we have ample stock of products related to the holiday season and summer vacations,” emphasizing that this demonstrates the efficiency of proactive planning and consistent supply flow.
He added that supply chains are operating at high efficiency due to the integration of processes between main warehouses and suppliers, ensuring a smooth movement of goods and their availability across various branches.
He also clarified that overland supply continues from Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as from nations such as Jordan, Turkey, and Egypt, highlighting ongoing coordination with customs authorities in the UAE and Gulf countries to facilitate the import and export of goods, which enhances the speed of response to any developments.
Moreover, he mentioned that the UAE is not just focused on imports but is also actively engaging in exports to neighboring countries, demonstrating the flexibility and sustainability of supply chains in both directions, and reinforcing the country’s position as a regional trade hub.
Regarding the holiday season, Al Hashimi detailed the launch of “Eid DIY Gift Baskets” as part of seasonal preparations, with annual sales expected to range between 6,000 and 7,000 baskets, along with promotional offers of up to 50% on a selected range of products.
