Mohammed Saif Al-Afkim, the Chairman of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, confirmed the completion of preparations for the major event on its economic agenda, the 10th Fujairah International Mining Conference. This year’s theme is “Mineral Resources for a Sustainable Community,” and the event will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, from October 28 to 30. The conference is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization.
The conference will feature over 70 industry experts and representatives from 25 countries, along with more than 30 exhibitors participating in the accompanying exhibition. Al-Afkim noted that the event had recorded 1,800 participants from both within the UAE and abroad, including exhibitors and speakers.
This announcement was made during a press conference held at the corporation’s headquarters in Al-Hail, aimed at highlighting the details of this new edition. Al-Afkim stated that the Fujairah Mining Forum has become a vital platform for dialogue and collaboration among global industry leaders and experts. He expressed, “Today, we celebrate its evolution into an international conference that embodies global confidence in the Emirate of Fujairah, reinforcing its ambitious vision to become a global hub for sustainable development in the mining sector.”
Engineer Ali Qassim, the General Director of the corporation, emphasized the significant transformation of the forum, marked by its renaming to the Fujairah International Mining Conference. This change reflects the record achievements of the forum in recent years, culminating in its international momentum and transition from a successful gathering to a global conference. The long-established event has achieved tangible records, starting with a wide attendance of industry experts, innovative research presentations showcasing the latest technologies and industrial developments, attracting participation from 33 countries and involving 75 exhibiting entities.
The conference has hosted 185 speakers from all over the world, presented 160 distinguished research papers, attracted 19,000 visitors, and organized 99 panel discussions, highlighting the significant impact of the event both regionally and internationally and the effective participation of leading companies.
