Dubai’s Mashreq Metro Station Renamed InsuranceMarket

Mashreq Metro Station will now be known as InsuranceMarket Metro Station, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has reported. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has transferred the naming rights of the Mashreq Metro Station to InsuranceMarket.ae, the UAE’s largest insurance platform, which has been serving the UAE since 1995.

The Mashreq Metro Station will be fully renamed InsuranceMarket Metro Station within 10 years. The station is located on the Red Line between Mall of The Emirates and Dubai Internet City metro stations and is strategically located on Sheikh Zayed Road. Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of the RTA, stressed that the RTA is committed to establishing successful partnerships with the private sector due to its vital role in driving economic growth.

Driving Economic Growth

The collaboration with InsuranceMarket.ae serves as a model for successful public-private partnerships, contributing to the benefits of RTA projects and initiatives, creating jobs in various sectors and paving the way for the private sector to support government directions in this regard.

“The Emirate of Dubai is an excellent platform for major companies and entrepreneurs to showcase and promote their brands, and Dubai Metro stations offer unique and enhanced advertising opportunities for companies and investors in the UAE and the region. Here, they can market their products, services and solutions across various economic and commercial sectors. This is in line with their goals of increasing global competitiveness, developing businesses in Dubai and the UAE, and entering international markets,” added Kalbat.

RTA and InsuranceMarket.ae

Avinash Babur, Founder and CEO of InsuranceMarket.ae, expressed his gratitude for the naming rights of the metro station, noting that having one of Dubai’s iconic metro stations dedicated to InsuranceMarket is a significant milestone in the organization’s journey. He highlighted the company’s commitment to serving and protecting the UAE community, drawing a parallel between the metro’s role in connecting people in Dubai and InsuranceMarket.ae’s mission to provide customers with the right insurance solutions, making their lives safer and more convenient. Babur is looking forward to the positive impact of this collaboration on both residents and visitors to Dubai.

From September to November 2024, RTA will change the station name on exterior, as well as interior and exterior signage. The new name will also be updated on RTA’s smart public transport systems and apps, along with audio announcements before and during arrival at the station. RTA urges metro users to be aware of the station name change. In the meantime, customers can seek assistance from RTA teams at stations for further clarification.
