Ai Act Aviation Consulting Achieves Full Membership in ICAO Program

International Aviation Consulting and Training (IACT), the commercial and training arm of the General Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates, announced yesterday that it has achieved full membership in the ICAO “TRAINAIR PLUS” program.

IACT had previously attained associate membership in 2020, and within just five years, it has progressed to full membership—a strategic goal set since its inception in 2016. According to a press release from the authority, this accomplishment reflects IACT’s commitment to implementing global aviation training standards and enhancing excellence in human resource development both nationally and internationally.

This success illustrates the strategic vision of the General Civil Aviation Authority, the efforts of the IACT team, support from the ICAO “TRAINAIR PLUS” program secretariat, and the valuable collaboration with local network partners in the UAE.

Saeed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Civil Aviation Authority, stated that achieving full membership in the “TRAINAIR PLUS” program is not just an institutional achievement but also a national one, enhancing the UAE’s status as a global leader in safety, training, and innovation in aviation, and reinforcing the strategic partnership with ICAO.

He added that this status allows us to contribute to shaping the future of capacity building in the aviation sector worldwide, aligning with our national vision for excellence and leadership.

For his part, Khaled Jassim, CEO of IACT, noted that full membership grants IACT greater capacity to contribute to the global aviation community. He emphasized the commitment to expanding the scope, quality, and impact of their training programs while ensuring they remain innovative and relevant to future demands. This achievement strengthens IACT’s role as a regional training hub for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and creating a sustainable impact on the aviation sector.
