During his visit to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, President Trump was welcomed by a cultural exhibition featuring women swinging their hair.
“This city is stunning! I adore it!” Trump expressed to reporters after observing the performers at Qasr Al Watan, the presidential palace of the UAE.
The display involved the Al-Ayyala, a traditional form of art in the UAE, where Trump walked through two lines of numerous women dressed in flowing white gowns with long, dark hair.
The women synchronously tossed their hair while men played drums and chanted in the background.
A few men could also be spotted brandishing sword-like props during the spectacle.
According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Al-Ayyala features “sung poetry, percussion music, and dance, mimicking a battle scenario.”
“In the UAE, girls clad in traditional attire stand at the forefront, tossing their long hair back and forth,” UNESCO reports.
The Al-Ayyala is traditionally performed at weddings and celebratory events in both Oman and the UAE.
In contrast to other Middle Eastern nations, such as Iran, the UAE does not enforce laws requiring women to wear head coverings.
The Gulf nations have gone to great lengths to impress Trump during his time in the region.
In Saudi Arabia, he was escorted by six fighter jets as he arrived on Air Force One on Tuesday morning.
The following day, a camel parade and a Cybertruck convoy awaited him in Qatar, where he was also accompanied by fighter jets.
