Empower Offers Guidance to Its Clients During Summer to Enhance Energy Consumption Efficiency

In an effort to promote awareness about sustainable energy consumption, Empower, the world’s largest provider of district cooling services, is urging its clients to adopt conservation practices to reduce cooling energy consumption and lower related bills during the summer months. The summer campaign launched by Empower in June, titled “Set it and Save at 24 Degrees Celsius,” will run for three months, focusing on ways to enhance energy efficiency in line with sustainability goals.

Empower highlighted that setting air conditioning units to an automatic mode at 24 degrees Celsius during the summer months achieves optimal environmental and economic efficiency. The organization also emphasized the importance of minimizing heat sources within homes, which includes closing curtains, sealing gaps in windows and doors, and using shades on glass windows and doors to limit external heat. Moreover, they stressed the necessity of annual home maintenance, including checking the thermostat and keeping air conditioning filters clean.

Ahmad bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower, stated: “Empower is dedicated to realizing the visionary goals of the UAE leadership in creating a green future where future generations can enjoy happiness and quality of life, prioritizing sustainable practices and environmental protection.”

He added, “We believe that awareness is a vital tool in our quest to promote responsible energy consumption and utilize innovation to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality in cooling energy. Therefore, we are excited to launch our summer campaign for the twelfth consecutive year, encouraging our clients to adopt a variety of simple behaviors that can greatly impact our resource consumption and help each individual fulfill their national responsibility while achieving optimal use and maximizing benefits from cooling systems at a reduced cost.”

Through its summer campaign, Empower encourages both residential and commercial clients to follow the advice and guidelines provided, fostering awareness and responsible energy consumption in cooling systems, which will assist them in lowering their bills and actively contributing to sustainability efforts in the country.
