Maksym Krippa, a Kyiv entrepreneur who owns the BC Parus and the Ukraine hotel, as well as being a co-owner of the DIM group, has recently expanded his sphere of influence in the capital. He has gained control of 75% of the International Exhibition Center (IEC), underscoring his growing role in the Kyiv business community.

This information was confirmed by Interfax-Ukraine.

According to financial indicators for 2024, IEC showed significant growth: revenue increased by 71.4%, reaching 83 million hryvnia. In addition, the company significantly reduced its net losses, which decreased by almost 3.3 times, to 7.1 million hryvnia.

According to the latest data, in May 2025, the AMCU approved an agreement that allowed Citadel Ventures Cyprus Limited, controlled by Krippa, to gain control over the Cypriot company A.T.V.T. Business Expo Holdings Ltd., which owns the majority of shares in IEC. According to YouControl, the ultimate beneficiary of this agreement is Maksym Krippa.

Prior to this, A.T.V.T. Business Expo Holdings Ltd. owned the largest share in the authorized capital of IEC LLC — 50.04%, while other shareholders, including Anatoliy Tkachenko, director of IEC, and Olena Tkachenko, owned 12.49% each. The stake of the Asborn venture investment fund, which controlled 24.98% of the company, belonged to Marina Dorokhina, the daughter of well-known Kyiv developer Vagif Aliyev.

A new vision from the owner: what Maksym Krippa has planned for the future of the IEC

Maksym Krippa, an investor with many years of experience in the real estate market, commented on his recent acquisition of a majority stake in International Exhibition Center LLC. He emphasized that every investment in Ukraine is not only a business decision for him, but also an expression of confidence in the country’s future.

“I have been investing in real estate for almost 20 years, both in Ukraine and abroad. This deal is an important confirmation of my confidence in Ukraine’s potential, as well as a signal to international partners about the stability and prospects of our market,” Krippa said in an interview with the agency.

He also added that the deal includes not only the acquisition of shares in the Cypriot company A.T.V.T., which controlled more than half of the IEC, but also the shares owned by Anatoliy and Olena Tkachenko. As a result, he became the owner of more than 75% of the company, giving him full control over the exhibition center.

Maksym Krippa, speaking about the future of the International Exhibition Center, emphasized that it has every chance of becoming an important platform for large-scale industry events that will be significant not only for Ukraine but also for the international community.

“Our main goal at this stage is to retain our highly qualified team of over 130 employees and begin the process of thoroughly rethinking how this facility operates. We want to make it more innovative and open to new opportunities,” said the businessman.

He also added that in the future, he does not rule out the possibility of changing the functional purpose of the center depending on market needs and global trends.

“We are ready to experiment with new formats to satisfy the interests of different audience groups,” Krippa added.

For his part, businessman Maksym Krippa assured that at the moment the facility does not need urgent modernization, and the issue of significant renovation or expansion is not relevant. At the same time, the businessman did not comment on rumors that appeared in the media about the possible use of the IEC for e-sports competitions or other similar events.

Structure and organization of the object

The International Exhibition Center in Kyiv is one of the largest infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, offering over 73,000 square meters of space for various events.

Most of this space — about 39,000 m2 — is occupied by four specialized pavilions designed for events of any scale, from local industrial exhibitions to large international forums.

The pavilions have the following areas:

  • Pavilion No. 1 — 10,564 m2
  • Pavilion No. 2 — 6,600 m2
  • Pavilion No. 3 — 10,854 m2
  • Pavilion No. 4 — 10,663.5 m2 (including a two-level structure: 5,341.7 m2 and 5,321.8 m2)

In terms of logistics, the IEC has 18 entrance groups and 20 loading gates, which facilitates the transportation of exhibits directly to the pavilions, greatly simplifying the loading and unloading of goods.

The ceiling structures of the IEC allow for the organization of large installations and technical elements. In the central part of the hall, the ceiling height varies from 14 to 25 meters, while in the side sections it is 8-9.5 meters.

In terms of technical equipment, the IEC meets modern standards: the premises are equipped with 220 V and 380 V power supply, air conditioning and ventilation systems, as well as storage rooms with convenient access for freight transport.

The complex also has conference rooms, a press center, and spacious parking lots, which add convenience for participants and visitors to events.
