Ras Al Khaimah Economic Department Conducts 25,743 Inspection Visits in Half a Year

The Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah has reported a significant increase in compliance among commercial establishments with the regulations and rules in the emirate. During the first half of 2025, the compliance rate reached 87%, following the conduction of 25,743 inspection visits targeting various key sectors and commercial markets in the region.

Faisal Alyoun, Director of the Commercial Regulation and Protection Department at the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah, stated that the department carried out 63 specialized field campaigns, which included 25,743 inspection visits in the first half of the year. These efforts aimed to identify violations in markets, shopping centers, and public stores. The inspections uncovered several violations, including the sale of goods and products that did not meet specifications, advertising discounts without the necessary permits, price manipulation of certain products, and conducting business activities without a license in public areas.

The inspection visits targeted a variety of commercial activities, notably food trade, automobile spare parts, retail outlets, and other activities linked to daily commercial operations. This illustrates an increased level of awareness among business owners and their employees, as well as a growing commitment to adhering to regulatory requirements.
