The Central Finance Department in Sharjah celebrated the graduation of a new cohort from its Financial Training Center, established in partnership with the Arab Organization for Administrative Development under the Arab League.
The event was attended by Waleed Al-Saigh, Director General of the Central Finance Department, Dr. Adel Abdelaziz Al-Senn, Advisor to the Arab Organization for Administrative Development, Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of the Department and Head of the Supervisory Committee for the Center, along with Nasser Kashwani, Director of the Financial Training Center.
The Financial Training Center has run a series of specialized financial programs and courses designed to enhance financial expertise and improve the skillsets of national staff across various government entities.
Among the notable offerings was a preparatory Public Finance Diploma program aimed at 179 finance employees from the department and other governmental bodies within the emirate. This program featured 120 training hours, comprising 12 theoretical financial courses and 12 practical application sessions, achieving an impressive satisfaction rate of 98% among participants, reflecting its quality and positive impact.
Additionally, the center introduced a Public Finance Leadership Diploma tailored for supervisory leaders and heads of financial departments, which included 84 intensive training hours and garnered a notable satisfaction rate of 97.3% from the first graduating class.
The center also organized a course on financial reporting and economic analysis targeted at employees from the Federal National Council’s Budget Studies Office, focusing on “Reading and Analyzing Financial Statements of the Final Accounts.”
Moreover, the center collaborated with the University of Sharjah to offer a government accounting course, which aimed to enhance the practical skills of 19 students majoring in finance through 12 sessions that bridged academic knowledge with real-world applications in the public financial sector.
