UAE and Chad Explore Strengthening Cooperation in the Financial Sector

Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, met with Tahar Hamid Nguilin, Minister of Finance, Budget, Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation of Chad, to discuss ways to enhance collaboration in financial sector matters and other areas of mutual interest between the two nations.

The meeting, held at the ministry’s office in Dubai, was attended by other Chadian officials including Goboulafanga Mattei, the Minister of Commerce and Industry; Fatima Guokoni Odi, the Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, and National Meteorology; Fatima Al Jneh Garfa, the Minister Delegate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Chadians Abroad; and Omar Tegan Edibi Berdi, the Ambassador of Chad to the UAE.

During the discussion, both sides emphasized the significance of developing institutional partnerships and activating financial collaboration channels between their countries.

Al Hussaini reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting financial cooperation efforts with friendly nations, describing the exchange of technical expertise and capacity building in financial matters as a fundamental element in enhancing government financial efficiency and ensuring fiscal sustainability.

Both parties agreed on the importance of maintaining coordination and communication in relevant areas, reflecting the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation and share best practices in this sector.
