Fuel Price Update: September 2025
The Fuel Price Monitoring Committee has announced a reduction in diesel prices by 12 fils per liter, representing a decrease of approximately 4.5% compared to the prices from August 2025. Additionally, the committee has approved a minimal increase in gasoline prices for September, with an adjustment of only one fils compared to August.
New pricing, which includes a 5% value-added tax, will take effect starting Monday, September 1, 2025.

- Super gasoline (98 octane) has risen by one fils from AED 2.69 in August to AED 2.70 in September.
- Special gasoline (95 octane) increased by one fils, moving from AED 2.57 in August to AED 2.58 in September.
- E Plus gasoline (91 octane) also saw a rise of one fils, from AED 2.50 in August to AED 2.51 in September.
- Conversely, the price of diesel dropped by 12 fils per liter, from AED 2.78 in August to AED 2.66 in September.
In August, the committee had previously reduced gasoline prices by one fils compared to the previous month in July.
Throughout the first half of 2025, fuel prices for all derivatives have experienced notable declines compared to the same period last year. The stability observed in fuel prices has remained at low levels over the past six months, following similar patterns in July, September, October, and December of 2024.
The Ministry of Energy determines fuel price criteria on a monthly basis, based on the average global oil prices, factoring in operational costs incurred by distribution companies.
