A delegation from the General Women’s Union has continued its official visit to the People’s Republic of China, holding a series of meetings with prominent Chinese organizations in the fields of entrepreneurship and service trade. This initiative is supported by the UAE Embassy in Beijing and aims to strengthen institutional collaboration and expand economic partnerships that empower women.
The visit is part of the Union’s commitment to activate the Emirati-Chinese Entrepreneurs Council, which enhances industrial, economic, and developmental cooperation between both parties. This council falls under the initiative “Councils of Emirati Women Entrepreneurs in Friendly Countries,” launched by the Union under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. This initiative aims to enhance the presence of Emirati women on the international stage and to broaden the avenues for economic cooperation.
During the meetings, the delegation engaged with the Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association, a key institution that supports women entrepreneurs and promotes their role in economic development. The discussions included a presentation of the General Women’s Union’s efforts in empowering Emirati women, alongside an introduction to the association’s initiatives aimed at supporting women’s leadership across various sectors.
Furthermore, an open dialogue was held regarding future collaboration opportunities, emphasizing the exchange of expertise in developing supportive business environments for women and strengthening institutional frameworks that facilitate their economic empowerment. This aligns with the shared objectives of both nations to recognize women as active partners in sustainable development.
The delegation also convened with the Chinese Association for Trade in Services to explore collaborative prospects in the digital economy and cross-border e-commerce.
