Dubai Airport Retains Global Lead in July with 5.28 Million Scheduled Seats

In July, Dubai International Airport reported approximately 5.28 million scheduled seats for international flights, marking a 3% increase compared to the same month last year.

According to the latest report from the international organization “OAG”, which provides data on airports and airlines, Dubai International maintained its status as the world’s largest hub for international air travel in July 2025.

The organization noted that Dubai International experienced a 3% increase in capacity this July compared to the same period last year, adding nearly 160,000 seats compared to the previous year’s levels.

For international flights, London Heathrow ranked second with around 4.28 million seats after Dubai International, followed by Amsterdam Airport in third place with 3.78 million seats. Seoul’s airport placed fourth with approximately 3.74 million seats, while Istanbul Airport rounded out the top five with 3.7 million seats.

Overall, including both domestic and international traffic, Dubai International Airport continued to demonstrate robust performance, securing the second spot globally in terms of total seating capacity.

Atlanta’s airport led with about 5.69 million seats in July, while Chicago’s airport held third place with approximately 4.75 million seats. Istanbul matched Chicago with around 4.75 million seats in fourth place, and Tokyo Haneda took fifth place with about 4.72 million seats.
