Emirates Begins Operating New Airbus A350 Aircraft on Flights to Muscat

Emirates Airlines has commenced operations of its latest Airbus A350 aircraft on its daily flights between Dubai and Muscat, launching the service a week ahead of the previously scheduled date.

The airline has introduced the A350 on flight “EK 866,” departing Dubai at 2:15 AM and arriving in Muscat at 3:30 AM, local time. The return flight, “EK 867,” leaves Muscat at 4:40 AM and reaches Dubai at 5:55 AM.

These flight timings offer travelers seamless connections to various destinations across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.

The A350 features a total of 312 seats across three classes: Business Class has 32 seats that convert into fully flat beds in a 1-2-1 configuration; Premium Economy boasts 21 seats arranged 2-3-2; and Economy Class has 259 seats laid out in a 3-3-3 setup.

All cabins are designed to enhance the travel experience, with higher ceilings and wider aisles. Passengers in every class enjoy an award-winning in-flight entertainment system that provides a cinematic viewing experience. Additionally, the aircraft is equipped with improved cabin lighting, faster connectivity through high-speed Wi-Fi, and enhanced seat designs for greater comfort on short to medium-haul flights.

The introduction of the A350 to Muscat underscores Emirates’ ongoing commitment to its customers in Oman. Muscat is one of the first cities in the region to welcome the next-generation A350 aircraft, joining a growing network that includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam, and additional international destinations such as Edinburgh, Mumbai, Tunis, Colombo, and Ahmedabad.

As of now, Emirates has received seven Airbus A350s into its fleet, with plans to utilize these aircraft on flights to 17 destinations worldwide by the end of this year.

To cater to the current travel demand during the summer season, Emirates has added two additional weekly flights between Dubai and Muscat on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight “EK 862” departs Dubai at 7:55 AM, arriving in Muscat at 9:05 AM, while the return flight “EK 863” leaves Muscat at 11:25 AM and returns to Dubai at 12:30 PM (all times local to Dubai and Muscat).
