Maksym Krippa: What We Know About One of the Country’s Most Influential Entrepreneurs

Ukrainian investor Maksym Krippa is steadily strengthening his position in the real estate sector by consistently expanding his portfolio of assets. Recently, he became a co-owner of one of the country’s leading developers, making a strategic move as part of his long-term investment model. His focus is on projects with high potential that can generate not only profit but also have a positive impact on the development of urban space.

Over the past 2 years, its investments in the Ukrainian economy have exceeded $100 million. Krippa follows a clear diversification strategy that covers several dynamic areas: real estate, the video game industry, and esports. In all of these areas, he is an investor and an active player, including the head of the Ukrainian Federation of Esports.

The investor is also actively exploring the international market, particularly the UAE, where he implements several premium real estate projects in Dubai.

His investment approach combines economic feasibility with long-term market impact. All of the selected industries demonstrate stable growth, both in terms of capitalization and social impact.

From Kyiv to Dubai: what real estate properties are part of Maksym Krippa’s assets

Maksym Krippa is gradually strengthening his position in the metropolitan and suburban real estate segment, building an influential investment portfolio step by step. His strategy is about acquiring assets and thoughtfully building an infrastructure capable of generating added value in the long term.

One of the most notable deals of recent years was a victory at an open auction in January 2023, when Krippa acquired an elite estate in the village of Kozyn near Kyiv. The property’s price reached UAH 311.11 million, exceeding the starting bid by more than 60%, demonstrating the location’s high demand and strategic importance.

The estate, located on a picturesque site with developed infrastructure, has the potential to be transformed into one of the most remarkable investments with a special development concept. Among the ideas that he publicly voiced in an interview with Forbes are the creation of a club base for NAVI, similar to the training center of FC Dynamo Kyiv, and the implementation of an SPA complex in the format of premium recreation, inspired by the Spanish concept of SHA Wellness Clinic.

One of the most talked about deals in the Kyiv real estate market is acquiring the Parus business center through investor Maksym Krippa. The process was not quick: negotiations with the previous owner, Vadym Stolar, lasted several months. Only after the official approval of the Antimonopoly Committee did the deal get the green light. The finalization took place on December 1, 2023.

Parus is not just office real estate but a real architectural dominant of the capital. The 133.1-meter-tall skyscraper is considered one of the tallest buildings in Kyiv. The total area of the complex is 75 thousand m2, of which more than 55 thousand are allocated for Class A offices.

The deal included a change of ownership and the legal settlement of financial obligations. The new investor bought the asset with the existing debts of the previous structures and assumed the obligation to repay them in full.

The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed. Still, it is known that the investor acted in full compliance with the current legislation: it passed financial integrity checks and paid all tax liabilities. Despite the confidentiality of the details, the transaction is an essential step in strengthening Krippa’s position in the premium real estate market.

In 2024, Maksym Krippa completed another landmark transaction—the acquisition of the Ukraine Hotel, located in the heart of the capital. This historic property was sold through the state-owned Prozorro sale platform, and the auction took place in September.

Representing the investor, Ola Fine offered the highest bid of UAH 2.5 billion, outbidding all other bidders and winning the property’s right to purchase. The total amount paid after the auction was about UAH 3 billion, of which UAH 500 million was paid to the budget as value-added tax.

The very next year, in 2025, Krippa made a new strategic step by joining the development business and becoming a co-owner of DIM, one of the most active players in the residential and commercial real estate market.

From the conversation between Maksym Krippa and Forbes, it also became known that a decisive turn in his business career was his move to the United Arab Emirates in 2016, at a time when the local real estate market was in a recession. As the investor himself later noted, this period opened up unique opportunities: the cost of many properties was several times lower than it is today—sometimes five or even seven times lower.

As of 2025, Maksym Krippa has established a substantial presence in the UAE’s property market, amassing a portfolio that exceeds 100,000 square meters in total area. This diverse collection includes premium office units, high-end residential properties, future development sites, and land holdings. A significant portion of these assets is positioned within close proximity—just a 15-minute drive—from Dubai Mall, placing them in one of the emirate’s most prestigious and dynamic neighborhoods.

Betting on innovation: development of the Ukrainian gaming and esports industries through investment

Although Maksym Krippa’s main focus is real estate investments, esports and Game Dev have become equally important areas of his activity. These areas have set the tone for his investment strategy in the digital industry.

Back in 2018, Krippa first noticed the young streaming studio Maincast, acquiring a quarter of its shares. Over time, his stake in the company increased, and the studio itself reached a new level, gaining exclusive rights to broadcast top esports tournaments, ESL and BLAST. Maincast launched its own channels and gradually became one of the industry leaders in Eastern Europe.

At the same time, Krippa was engaged in lengthy negotiations to acquire Natus Vincere (NAVI), one of the most successful teams in Counter-Strike’s history. Starting as a partner and sponsor, he became the full owner of the club in 2022. Since then, NAVI has gained a new impetus for growth in management and results.

Thanks to Krippa’s systematic investments, NAVI has retained its status as a global brand and become a driving force for esports in Ukraine, contributing to the development of infrastructure and attracting new audiences.

In September 2023, Maksym Krippa became the official beneficiary of GSC Game World, the studio that gave the world the legendary Stalker and the Cossacks series. At that time, the development of the game’s sequel had been stalled for a long time: the almost ten-year pause was caused by both financial difficulties and internal management problems that slowed down the release of the second part.

The agreement on the change of ownership stipulated a clear priority: to bring S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to release. Krippa focused resources on this task, making the completion of the project a key goal of his investment.

In less than a year after the change of ownership, the team achieved the goal—the game was officially released on November 20, 2024. The event immediately became a landmark for the franchise’s fans and the entire Ukrainian gaming industry, which has proven its ability to create world-class products even in difficult times.

Today, Krippa owns 82% of GSC Game World, which gives him a decisive voice in strategic processes. During this time, the company implemented the most anticipated release of the decade and seriously updated its internal processes: the team was rebuilt, the infrastructure was modernized, and the brand strengthened its position in the global market.
