The Sharjah Economic Development Department has introduced a new service named “Aoun + 60,” aimed at senior citizens aged 60 and above. This initiative is designed to streamline their access to the department’s services without requiring a visit to the office, utilizing a simple process via WhatsApp at 0547091212 or through the landline 065122660.
The “Aoun + 60” service allows users to complete a variety of tasks including issuing, renewing, and modifying licenses, processing trade permits, conducting technical evaluations, as well as accessing legal services and all other departmental offerings.
The department explained that this service is conducted outside of its premises specifically for seniors who may have difficulty using modern technology or traveling to the office. Staff members will visit the applicants’ homes to ensure they can complete their transactions easily and comfortably. Additionally, customer satisfaction will be evaluated periodically to enhance the service and meet the needs of the seniors following the highest quality standards.
Flexible Services
Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, the Head of the Sharjah Economic Development Department and Executive Council member, emphasized that the “Aoun + 60” service reflects the Sharjah government’s commitment to caring for senior citizens by providing flexible and intelligent services that address their needs while prioritizing their requests. He stated that this service is not merely a departmental offering, but a significant initiative that embodies Sharjah’s vision for improving the quality of life and facilitating accessible government services for all community members, especially its senior citizens. The department is keen to ensure that its initiatives directly reflect the wise leadership’s directives in honoring elderly citizens and providing them with services befitting their status. The “Aoun + 60” service marks an important step toward creating a rapid and flexible service system that reaches beneficiaries wherever they are, offering them a smoother governmental interaction experience.
