Dubai Customs, through its “Talal for Job Happiness” team, organized an event called “Little Customs Traders,” engaging 40 children from various age groups. This initiative aimed to instill entrepreneurial concepts and enhance economic awareness among the younger generation while promoting meaningful community involvement.
The primary goal of the event was to give children a hands-on experience that mimics real-world business activities. They showcased their products to Dubai Customs staff in an interactive educational environment that combined both learning and practical application, fostering their business skills.
This initiative aligns with Dubai Customs’ commitment to nurturing a conscious generation capable of turning ideas into sustainable projects, thereby contributing to the national economy. It also aims to instill a culture of innovation and productivity among students from an early age by enhancing skills in entrepreneurial thinking, financial management, marketing, and customer service.
In this context, Rashid Obeid Al-Sharid, Executive Director of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector at Dubai Customs, stated that this initiative reflects the organization’s dedication to investing in human development from early stages. He emphasized that allowing children to engage in practical experiences within a real-world environment helps build confident personalities and reinforces concepts of work, innovation, and responsibility, aligning with Dubai’s vision of preparing future generations to shape the future.
