Emirates’ Share of Global Airbus A350-900 Deliveries Reaches 37%

Emirates Airlines has made significant strides in upgrading its fleet this year, having received 13 new Airbus A350-900 aircraft. This constitutes 37% of the total 35 units of this type delivered worldwide in 2025.

According to Airbus data, Emirates has outperformed any other airline in terms of deliveries, surpassing its closest competitor, Turkish Airlines, which received 6 of these aircraft.

Air France received 5 A350-900s, while Delta Airlines took delivery of 4, with remaining deliveries allocated to other operators, each receiving one aircraft.

Emirates’ fleet of A350-900s stands out globally, with a current order for 73 aircraft. So far, the airline has accepted 13 units, leaving 60 more to be acquired by 2031. This will position Emirates as the leading operator of this aircraft model once all deliveries are completed.

The choice of the A350-900 is a strategic move by Emirates to compensate for the long delays in the Boeing 777X delivery program, which has been postponed to 2027. The airline is leveraging the modern A350s to enhance passenger experiences and efficiently open long-haul routes.

The expansion of Emirates’ A350 fleet aligns with its plans to introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliners as well.

Once again, Emirates demonstrates its leadership in the global aviation sector, excelling not only as the largest operator of wide-body aircraft but also as the fastest-growing airline expanding its fleet of modern, fuel-efficient aircraft. This reflects a comprehensive strategy that combines innovation, luxury service, and operational efficiency to meet the rising demand for long-haul and premium travel worldwide.
