Dubai Takes the Lead in Armani Hotel’s Global Expansion Through Strategic Partnership with Symphony Global

Armani Group and Symphony Global, the investment arm of businessman Mohamed Alabbar, have unveiled a global joint venture aimed at creating a series of Armani hotels and resorts in select international destinations. This initiative operates under a long-term exclusive franchise agreement, with Dubai serving as a central strategic and operational hub.

This announcement follows the remarkable success of the Armani brand in the hospitality sector, highlighted by the Armani Hotel Dubai located in the Burj Khalifa and Armani Hotel Milan. This sets the stage for a new phase of calculated global expansion for the Armani brand in the luxury hospitality industry, emphasizing design.

Both parties have confirmed that Dubai and Milan will serve as the primary bases for the joint venture, reflecting Dubai’s pivotal role as a global platform for luxurious hospitality and a strategic center for the development and operation of international hotel brands.

Global Expansion from Dubai

The new partnership builds on the strong performance and international reputation established by the Armani Hotel Dubai as one of the leading icons of luxury hospitality worldwide, alongside the Armani Hotel Milan on Via Manzoni. These two projects exemplify a comprehensive model that combines exceptional architecture, interior design, and high-quality service.

Expansion plans also include future projects, such as the anticipated Armani Hotel in Diriyah, Riyadh, which is set to open in 2027, showcasing a selective approach targeting strategically significant markets with sustainable growth.

Two Hotel Models to Meet Global Demand

The joint venture will focus on developing two main hotel models:

• Luxury Armani Model: Targeting major global cities like Dubai and Milan, with an emphasis on a complete high-end experience.

• Contemporary Armani Model: Offering a modern conception of luxury, aimed at the new generation of travelers, particularly in emerging markets.

This strategy is designed to fulfill the increasing global demand for luxury hospitality while diversifying experiences to align with varying travel styles and guest expectations.

Long-Term Partnership

The joint venture is set for an initial term of 20 years, renewable for an additional ten years, adopting a selective development approach focusing on premium locations and the highest design, operational, and guest experience standards.

An Armani team will oversee all design elements, including architecture, interior design, furniture, materials, and lighting, alongside operational service standards, taking into account the cultural nuances of each location.

Leadership Remarks

Mohamed Alabbar stated, “Dubai has always been and will continue to serve as a global model for innovative luxury. Our partnership with Armani is founded on shared values of quality and human experience. At Symphony Global, we are proud to support this long-term global expansion.”

He added, “I have long admired Giorgio Armani as one of the greatest design pioneers of our time. His timeless, disciplined, and human-centered approach to design has profoundly influenced generations, including myself.”

Giuseppe Marchi, CEO of Armani Group, remarked, “The outstanding performance of Armani hotels, particularly the Armani Hotel Dubai, validates our vision in hospitality. This partnership represents a powerful platform to expand Armani’s philosophy of lifestyle and luxury hospitality worldwide.”

Global Expertise and Unified Vision

Each project will be developed as an integrated environment for modern living, with Armani participating in all aspects of architectural design, interior design, furniture, materials, lighting, and service standards. While every project will consider its local context, they will all reflect the core principles of Armani aesthetics: clarity, balance, and understated elegance.

The Armani Group has extensive experience in developing residential and mixed-use projects in major global cities, while Symphony Global is backed by Mohamed Alabbar’s track record in developing internationally appealing destinations that combine investment attraction with operational excellence.

This joint venture reflects both parties’ ambition to establish a global network of hospitality destinations, beginning in Dubai and merging Armani’s high design identity with the highest operational standards in the luxury hospitality sector.
