Dubai-based company Angelic Intelligence is gearing up to enhance its presence in the global artificial intelligence market after securing $15 million (equivalent to 55 million dirhams). The focus will be particularly on the Middle East, which is experiencing rapid growth in the adoption of advanced technologies.
As AI adoption accelerates across various sectors, there is a growing demand for solutions that do not solely emphasize automation and performance improvement but also prioritize trust, governance, and responsible usage as central elements of digital transformation. With this in mind, Angelic Intelligence, founded by entrepreneur and inventor Shikhar Natarajan, aims to provide an enterprise platform that integrates with existing systems, enabling organizations to implement AI-driven decision-making solutions that align with operational priorities, governance requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
Natarajan explained that the first wave of AI concentrated on technical capabilities, while the next phase will focus on building trust and promoting responsible technology use, highlighting a shift from experimentation to large-scale enterprise implementation.
The platform’s concept draws from Natarajan’s extensive experience in enterprise technology development, alongside his observations of the challenges traditional AI systems face when deployed in complex operational environments. The platform is currently operational in two actual production environments, including a global market for non-profit organizations and workforce planning systems that support major companies in the retail and restaurant sectors. Additionally, over ten pilot projects are being implemented in sectors such as logistics, healthcare, and workforce management.
Orchestro.ai, another company founded by Natarajan, is among the first to adopt the platform within its technical ecosystem. Angelic Intelligence is characterized as an independent infrastructure available to enterprises, government entities, and organizations worldwide.
The firm places significant emphasis on the Middle East, as the UAE and Saudi Arabia witness accelerating AI technology adoption through national strategies and public-private initiatives, making the region one of the fastest-growing environments for AI globally. Natarajan believes this trend creates a favorable landscape for platforms that prioritize governance and transparency. He emphasizes that Gulf Cooperation Council nations not only adopt AI but also contribute to shaping frameworks for its responsible and widespread deployment. Although the company has not yet established a legal entity in the region, exploratory discussions and increased interest from Gulf institutions have been noted.
