Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, a global aviation services provider, has announced a purchase agreement with United Airlines for 10 new Boeing 737-9 aircraft. These planes are expected to enter long-term lease agreements and will be delivered between August 2025 and February 2026.
Firoz Tarapore, CEO of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, stated: “We are pleased to continue strengthening our exceptional relationship with United. Today’s announcement regarding the sale and leaseback of ten Boeing 737-9 aircraft follows our recent acquisition of an Airbus A321neo leased to United, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to the North American market. We congratulate United on their successful journey and look forward to further solidifying this partnership in the years ahead.”
The Boeing 737-9 is part of the new generation of the 737 MAX family, designed to offer enhanced operational efficiency, improved environmental performance, and greater passenger comfort in the single-aisle aircraft category. The aircraft is powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines and features advanced wingtip designs that enhance performance and economic efficiency. This family of aircraft achieves a fuel consumption reduction and lower emissions of up to 20% compared to the planes they replace. Dubai Aerospace Enterprise aims to own or manage a fleet of 750 aircraft, including 225 Boeing planes, with plans to expand its fleet to meet the growing market demand.
